ANALYSIS by retired Col.  Patrick LANG

Donald Trump’s decision to launch cruise missile strikes on a Syrian Air Force Base was based on a lie.  In the coming days the American people will learn that the Intelligence Community knew that Syria did not drop a military chemical weapon on innocent civilians in Idlib. Here is what happened.

  1. The Russians briefed the United States on the proposed target. This is a process that started more than two months ago. There is a dedicated phone line that is being used to coordinate and deconflict (i.e., prevent US and Russian air assets from shooting at each other) the upcoming operation.
  2. The United States was fully briefed on the fact that there was a target in Idlib that the Russians believes was a weapons/explosives depot for Islamic rebels.
  3. The Syrian Air Force hit the target with conventional weapons. All involved expected to see a massive secondary explosion. That did not happen. Instead, smoke, chemical smoke, began billowing from the site. It turns out that the Islamic rebels used that site to store chemicals, not sarin, that were deadly. The chemicals included organic phosphates and chlorine and they followed the wind and killed civilians.
  4. There was a strong wind blowing that day and the cloud was driven to a nearby village and caused casualties.
  5. We know it was not sarin. How? Very simple. The so-called “first responders” handled the victims without gloves. If this had been sarin they would have died. Sarin on the skin will kill you. How do I know? I went through “Live Agent” training at Fort McClellan in Alabama.

There are members of the U.S. military who were aware this strike would occur and it was recorded. There is a film record. At least the Defense Intelligence Agency knows that this was not a chemical weapon attack. In fact, Syrian military chemical weapons were destroyed with the help of Russia.

This is Gulf of Tonkin 2. How ironic. Donald Trump correctly castigated George W. Bush for launching an unprovoked, unjustified attack on Iraq in 2003. Now we have President Donald Trump doing the same damn thing. Worse in fact. Because the intelligence community had information showing that there was no chemical weapon launched by the Syrian Air Force.

Here’s the good news. The Russians and Syrians were informed, or at least were aware, that the attack was coming. They were able to remove a large number of their assets. The base the United States hit was something of a backwater. Donald Trump gets to pretend that he is a tough guy. He is not. He is a fool.

This attack was violation of international law. Donald Trump authorized an unjustified attack on a sovereign country. What is even more disturbing is that people like Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, CIA Director Mike Pompeo and NSA Director General McMaster went along with this charade. Front line troops know the truth. These facts will eventually come out. Donald Trump will most likely not finish his term as President. He will be impeached, I believe, once Congress is presented with irrefutable proof that he ignored and rejected intelligence that did not support the myth that Syria attacked with chemical weapons.

It should also alarm American taxpayers that we launched $100 million dollars of missiles to blow up sand and camel shit. The Russians were aware that a strike was coming. I’m hoping that they and the Syrians withdrew their forces and aircraft from the base. Whatever hope I had that Donald Trump would be a new kind of President, that hope is extinguished. He is a child and a moron. He committed an act of war without justification. But the fault is not his alone. Those who sit atop the NSC, the DOD, the CIA, the Department of State should have resigned in protest. They did not. They are complicit in a war crime.

There are different rules for removal, generally if you’re found guilty of a felony, then you won’t be allowed to hold office. Prosecution can be done by anyone (in federal district court), but not necissarily well. If a lot of evidence can be had, then there is some chance that a jury will find them guilty. Some difficulty may be had getting to a jury, but not every official has a judge in his pocket. Unfortunately, attorneys aren’t necissarily good prosecutors.

The neocon disease that is promoting regime change has infected the State Department, key posts in Trump’s administration, and most ominously, both parties in Congress. Holding those directly responsible for this latest war crime is important but will not put a dent in the agenda unfolding. The only solution is regime change in Congress in 2018. There are 33 candidates for Senate and 435 for the House up for election. Almost every one needs to be replaced with officials not beholden to the war industries and Wall Street. that was my thought as i was reading Lang’s commentary. can’t ruled out. it would be sweet if it could be proven. Saddam was set up in 1990, remember that? He met with the US ambassador or emissary, April Gallaspy before Iraq invaded Kuwait. He met with her to discuss the cross drilling of Kuwait, a client state of the US, under the Iraq Kuwaiti border, stealing Iraq’s oil. Saddam asked Gallaspy for the Americans to use their influence to stop Kuwait from stealing Iraq’s oil. He asked her to have the US take are of it, to prevent any conflict between IRaq and Kuwait, if Iraq had to use force to stop Kuwait. Galasspy replied, “What you do in your affairs with Kuwait is none of our concern,” it sounded like she was telling him to do whatever he found necessary to stop the cross drilling and that the US was not going to help with that, and that it was none of the Americans’ concern. Iraq had historical claims on Kuwaiti territory, which were well known and had been brought up for decades, because when the British colonialists came in there, after the oil, the cut off a part of Iraq and they never gave it back, that was Kuwait. So, Iraq invades Kuwait and they get hit with this uber demonizing propaganda, and get the US public on board with the fake testimony about Iraqi soldiers taking Kuwaiti babies out of incubators in the hospital and leaving them on the floor to die, and i remember hearing that the Iraqis tossed the babies up in the air and caught them on their bayonets. ! Why not ! The evil ones must be stopped. So George H W Bush sends a quarter million US troops over to Saudi Arabia to take back Kuwait and wage a civilian atrocity on Iraq, destroying their infrastructure, their water, their electricity, their sanitation, everything—i remember, when the US threatened Saddam to get out of Kuwait or else, knowing he couldn’t just turn around and leave on a US verbal threat, Saddam produced a tape recording he made of his meeting with Gallaspy where she said it was none of the Americans ‘ concern how he handled his problem with Kuwait. It was a brief news cycle item.

The Americans are who they are–their leaders, it’s a rogue state, they do what they want, they have more power than any group of other countries, and no one can stop them from doing any violence they want, and they do what they want, they make up their own rules, there is no respect for sovereignty, the US leaders consider international law to be beneath them, they are global expansionists pursuing their domination agenda, going through their hit list of regimes to be changed, they’ve been doing it all my life, most of 7 decades, when i was a little kid, the CIA overthrew the secular constitutional government of Iran, elected, parliamentary, multiparty, it was a set up. CIA agents impersonating communist party members, setting mosques on fire, to get the Islamists to rise up and engage in civil strife with the communists, so the CIA could pay a faction of the military to take over the government, putting the prime minister under house arrest, and then putting the autocratic shah into power as their puppet, with CIA staffing the whole Iranian secret police force, for over 10 years, until all the secular opposition was mostly destroyed, until they decided they had destroyed the opposition enough to let Iranians staff the secret police. Until the Iranian revolution. The CIA overthrew the government of Iran in 1953 at the request of the UK, British Petroleum, because Iran leaders had nationalized their oil industry, and UK wanted it back but they were too trashed by WWII to take it over miitarily themselves, but the US was up for it. Voila, regime change. So many since then. I’m sure Putin is on the hit list. US is a rogue state.

Well there it is. The Russian version is correct. The USA were aware that Syrian Army was about to bomb the weapons factory. They may or may not have known it was producing chemical weapons, not Sarin gas, because the doctors and White Helmets knew it wasn’t Sarin but their own chemical bombs because they wore no protective clothing against deadly Sarin.

A strong wind blew the chemical cloud into the town, causing the deaths. The opportunity was realised immediately by Al Qaeda and its western sponsored and this time the lies proved more successful than 2013 Sarin attack, that certainly a false flag deployment of Sarin by
Saudi sponsored jihadists to secure the bombing on Damascus.

This time a far more unstable President fell for the deep state ploy and the false flags the Nazis used to invade Poland in 1939, the USA used to start the Vietnam war and the 1999 bombing of Yugoslavia was successful this time. It may well unravel rapidly.

So good to read this explanation. Which interest anyway would Assad and the Russians have in using poisoning gas? The only side that would gain are the rebels.

Now let’s see about the why and how of the Tomahawk attack. Trump is interested in having a better relation with the Russians and off course, Trump knew that Assad didn’t use gas… but and this is the point “The allied West is not interested to hear the real explanation”. So his attack is a great opportunity for him to gain more trust/support from the West and to not destroy the future possibilities with the Russians, he warned them and they played it well together.

At last, I think Trump wants Russia to loosen their ties with Iran and this might have given him a better position.

  23. Not merely a violation of international law but, more importantly, of U.S. law.

The War Powers Resolution is quite clear. The President may initiate the use of military force only in three specific circumstances.

    From the resolution:

SEC. 2. (c) The constitutional powers of the President as Commander in-Chief to introduce United States Armed Forces into hostilities, or into situations where imminent involvement in hostilities is clearly indicated by the circumstances, are exercised only pursuant to (1) a declaration of war, (2) specific statutory authorization, or (3) a national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces.

Did he meet any of these criteria? No.

Trump is in violation of the law.

i think that was when the US and Russia had meetings and agreed to work together and inform each other of the location of their own people, and in particular, it was the Russians who were there on the ground and in a position to know where the Syrian army locations were, and this was a big deal about how the US and Russia were going to work together so that the Syrian army and Kurds and other anti-terrorist factions could fight Al Nusra and/or ISIS. And then immediately after the agreements, the US took info the Russians gave them about Syrian positions and bombed the Syrians, took out a whole bunch of them, killed and badly injured a bunch of people who were sitting ducks, nice honorable thing to do, it was so cold, and when it happened, remember this, it was last year i think, the US leaders said “Oops, our mistake we got confused and didn’t know where the Syrians were, we thought they were terrorists. At the time, it was pointed out by some critical thinker on the inside that the US intel has technology to know exactly where the Syrians were all the time, as was reported a couple of days ago when the US claimed it was monitoring the Syrian planes and knew they were bombing civilians because they were watching them. The thing from last year was a very obvious fuck you to the Russians and thaat was a turning point, where the Russians no longer attempted to work together with the Americans (not rocket science) and just began upping their air support and other support for the Syrians, the Russians were speeding up the process of helping the Syrians retake Aleppo and are continuing. Now the US is using this position they forced the Russians into to create a demonizing paper tiger that is the Russians being in on killing babies somehow.

The US is a very sick country. It is the ultimate rogue state. It does what it wants where it wants to because it can, it makes up the rules, it’s like the wild wild west, lawless and violent. Trump is just a symptom, of how far the US has fallen, and Hillary Clinton and both of the two ruling political parties are symptoms of a bad disease. It’s sickening to watch. It’s not new, it’s just worsening, total sociopath lying brutal manipulative moral idiots.

According to site reports, only 23 of the missiles accurately hit intended targets. The rest missed. Some have not yet been located but the killed civilians and children were – at least one that I read about – was in a village off site. According to inspection, no chemicals were on that site, they took out an “education building,” canteen, six planes in hangars for repairs, radar, warehouse logistics property. Hardly worth the money. Russian media cynically reports that US spent around $10 million per civilian death. Russian news experts speculate a reason US missiles were so inaccurate could have been because they were from 1970s era and they do have a shelf life so they may have been so old they should have been retired from use. Of course Trump propaganda would say, as usual, that the mission was an unbelievable success. Win.
